Work Abroad

Athens, Greece

Hi there,

Are you currently looking forward to expand your borders? Visit a new country, find a new job? Well, I might have an opportunity for you that might be worth it. But, before I refer you directly to the website where you can apply for different positions in multiple languages, I would like to tell you about my personal experience so far.

First of all, this is not the first time for me working abroad. So, I can confirm that there are not so many companies that go to the full extend to make sure you are all set. I have been working in Athens, Greece since August 2019 and this has open doors for me in many ways.

Before I came here, I was working double shifts so I could keep up with the lifestyle I had in the Netherlands. I was living back with my parents and could only hope to find my own spot (Sorry mom). But at the end of the day, I still could not afford it. When that started, I recognized that I should find another way to build myself up.

Then is when I decided to leave to a new country. After going over all the opportunities, I decided that Athens would be the my destination. I really didn’t know why, but somehow it felt like something was pulling me in that direction. I actually turned down a position for the same company years before to go work in Portugal.

Now, I always compare the two experiences to justify if things are heading the right way. Now let me tell you this:

  • I am living with two of my colleagues and now best friends in a mansion.
  • Two living rooms, air conditioning in every room… I mean, really luxurious.
  • The funny part is, that I am actually earning less than I was earning before!
  • Within three months I found a way to have a recording set and a laptop to do what I like.
  • I got to know some locals who like to skateboard and are always down to ride!

Now yes, I know what you are asking. How did you get there to start working? That was easy. The company took care of everything and made sure that my flight was paid and that I had an accommodation (with breakfast) for the first two weeks, and a welcome bonus. This offer may differ per application, so make sure to read all details carefully or discuss this with your recruiter. I got help with finding a place to stay and I am enjoying beautiful Athens day by day.

This is the experience I would like to share with you. Feel free to shoot me a message if you would like to know more or discuss your curriculum. If you feel ready you can go ahead and click the link below:
